09:05 am - REMINDER- FD@KD - THIS SATURDAY

Thousands of years ago... back in1989 (that's 20 years folks)... civilization as we know it was a weird an' wacky animal. Jack Nicholson was the Joker. TV thought a show like "Baywatch" was a good idea. The Album of the Year was "Don't Worry, Be Happy" (for #@*!! sake!) Fortunately, some freak outa Cleveland just put out "Pretty Hate Machine", so there was hope.

An a pack of prime-evils started a little thing called Freak Day at Kings Dominion!

Meet at the main entrance around NOON for photographs and discount passes. Then around 5 o'clock, gather at the Bumper Cars for our group photos and ritualized combat between age 'n' treachery vs. youth 'n' their mad skillz

The dark horde descends upon KD for our annual debauchery and enjoyment. Meet at noon in front of the park, or again at 5PM by the bumper cars. Presale tickets are $30 ($44.99 at the gate) and can be bought on the Kings Dominion web site through corporate partners and the code is now DCFRK02.

Since this is the 20th(!!!) year of Freak Day at King's Dominion, Tony and Slash have decided to create a commemorative t-shirt. (Order by Thurs night and pick it up at the park!)

02:56 pm - from the Capitol Police

Helicopter Activity, Thursday, May 28, 2009

As part of a U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) medical evacuation exercise, there will be a flight of two helicopters that will traverse the airspace and land near the Capitol Complex between 7 am and 8 am. These will be low-flying, low-speed aircraft, and will pick up designated role players and exit the complex. These aircraft pose no danger to the Capitol Complex. The USCP will monitor the exercise from start to finish.

09:55 am - More heads up for DC people

Upcoming Airplane/Helicopter Activity in the D.C. Metropolitan Area

The 2009 Joint Service Open House Air Show will take place at Andrews Air Force Base from Friday, May 15, 2009, through Sunday, May 17, 2009.  While none of the aircraft associated with the Air Show are expected to enter the restricted airspace in the area of the U.S. Capitol, people should be aware they may see an unusual amount of military aircraft flying in the metropolitan area during this time.  For more information on the Air Show, staff can refer to their website at www.jsoh.org.

02:48 pm - yes I'm crazy, but am I right?

(Taken from a response to another post)

Does anyone else hear the chorus from Juke Joint Jezabel (about 1 min in if you aren't sure) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwpshFxzxHE          When watching the end of this trailer?: http://terminatorsalvation.warnerbros.com/

(The music they have is good, but at the end when they flash the name of the movie...?)
