09:30 am - Wheee! or "what year is it?"
The balls of my feet hurt, I have Warlock (sp?) stuck in my head and I had just enough of last nights eye makeup left to look right for work today. The only thing missing was the fog machine smell in my hair (I miss Adam...)

It was a good show.

10:34 am - Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Loved it!! I'll give you a couple quotes, so you can judge for yourselves:

"Her home, her housekeeping, her parish and poultry and even her ever deepening lust for tender morsels of savory brains, had not yet lost thier charm."

"I can remember no syptom of affection on either side, other than her carving his name into her midriff with a dagger; but this was customary with Lydia."

And don't skip the "Readers discussion Guide" at the end.

10:03 am - Hey look- stuff

We saw District 9 last night- Loved it! I’m not sure why people said it was depressing. (The District did we remind us of RIo, without the hills) The characters I was rooting for did Ok, and one of them even learned a little something in the end. Besides; Neat aliens and a MECH? What’s not to like?

On the bad (and then later- pretty good) side: A rock hit my window on the way in, producing a 10 in. crack on the driver’s side windshield =Teh suck. I emailed State Farm when I got in, got an answer email from my actual agent by 9am (no deductible- things looking up) and they had the replacement scheduled (for tomorrow at my house) by 9:30. I got to say- pretty damn happy with the service.

02:30 pm - cough cough
Between the painters and thier orange-based solvent, we've been gassed out today. So I'm home again. I'll get to emails tomorrow; right now there is a kitten that is "helping" with typing (and probably shortly with lunch) so not much useful is going to get done.

10:00 am - Week 3 of Faire

I have discovered new clothes turn me into Trinket (or some other version of a squealing, bouncing blond). My new clothes, Steve’s new clothes, Leslie creating a new design; it’s all fun!

Speaking of which: Steve got the first of Leslie’s new piece The Fitzroy Tudor Doublet! If you didn’t get to see it on Sunday. Here it is: http://pics.livejournal.com/kitteblue/pic/0008hy0f

There will be more in the following weeks, different colours and fabrics.

Hearing an unhorsing on the 6pm Joust  while chatting at Kate’s, all conversation stopping and several of us running up the hill to see what happened. (Everyone was ok, but lance were splinters everywhere- I’m sure there were some amazing bruises on Monday.)

High Point Crafts (the fan/duster place on the boardwalk), has cheap stuff. We were waiting for dance practice to get started and did a bit of shopping. The fans have wooden handles, which I like. The “expensive” peacock fan was $34. We’re thinking about getting one of the big ostridge plume feather dusters for Tamburlaine (the spaztastic kitten) for Xmas ($80). Hopefully it will take him longer to destroy than the normal cat toys.

Oh, and it was nice meeting Whitedragons’ shoulder lizard; Esmeralda. She was very cute.

See everyone soon, it may actualy be fall weather- weird.

10:04 am - Oh, this is why we do this...

I’m a little late, but 3 days of faire make one tired, and there’s the whole pesky day job thing.

It was a wonderful weekend, with a bunch of faire moments. (Of course I can’t remember everything now, but here goes):

·         Seeing the Medieval Babes in “bar band” mode at the White Hart show on Sat. They were up-close with a small crowd and were using our sound system. The sound went out some, but you got a better idea of just how good their voices are that you could still hear them at the back of the bar. And then there were the Rock Stars…The backup guys went completely crazy, from Alice Cooper/Kiss/Jimmy Hendricks actions with the lute/mandolin to wearing a Big Bird head for the last song. The best part was when the Ladies turned around and cracked up.

·         Dinner with a diverse group of hoodlums including the GA people. Much good conversation.

·         Standing in the rain on Sunday outside the booth with a bunch of other Rennies, while the patrons ran for cover, took pictures of us and thought we were nuts.

·         Steve pointing out it wasn’t lightening so the joust was still running. We got great seats and got to see Sir William (Roy) kick shinny metal butt in the rain!  Sir Henry (Ripper) had an impromptu cheering section in front of us, when a multi generation family of about 20 started chanting “Henry” on their own. (It was their first joust and they just LOVED it.)

·         Getting the last bacon orders at breakfast and introducing Alice to Liquid Crack (mocha slushie @ the bread bowls).

·         Seeing the “Why are there 2 Trinkets?” and “Trinkets’ birthday” shows of the Interpreters. Even better- my parents seeing them for the first time on Monday, and turning to stare at me for most of Trinkets’ jokes. (I was this close to being named Barbie.) Ladies- you have new life long fans- and they’re older than 9!

·         Leslie getting my new outfit finished, so I could be even more Kitty than usual.

·         Seeing the “Goat” version of the Boatman at Final Pubsing. It will take quite awhile for that song to be the same for us.

(We’ll have pictures at some point)

 And off we go again....
